The service

A subscription provides one managed virtual server for your account. You can add unlimited connections without a per-connection fee. The number of usable connections is bounded by the server's address space, CPU, memory, bandwidth, and other capacity limits.

Price and data transfer

The monthly server price, monthly data transfer allowance, additional data transfer rate, and bandwidth are shown in the offer and at checkout. Monthly data transfer includes upload and download usage. We measure data transfer usage for the server.

If data transfer usage exceeds the monthly data transfer allowance, additional data transfer is billed at the actual stated rate per GiB after the original monthly period closes. This can include usage from a server that you later delete. The full monthly data transfer allowance applies for the period; deleting a server does not prorate or remove that allowance.

Unpaid data balance

New production plans start with a $10 limit on unpaid additional data transfer per server. The account owner can increase this limit up to $1,000. An increase cannot be reversed. The limit includes estimated charges for the current period and unpaid charges from earlier periods. A new month does not clear unpaid charges.

Access can pause before the limit is reached while usage reports are delayed or incomplete. Access resumes when reports confirm that credit remains. Increasing the limit does not clear overdue charges. Access is suspended when an additional data transfer payment has failed for 72 hours. Final additional data transfer charges below $0.50 are waived.

Renewal and deletion

The subscription renews monthly until renewal is stopped. Deleting a server stops future renewal and starts removal of the server and its service resources. Access is removed as part of deletion. Charges for completed data transfer usage can still close after deletion under the data transfer terms above.

Access ends when the paid service period expires. If renewal remains unpaid, we retain the server for 72 hours before cleanup can start. A confirmed payment can restore access before cleanup starts. Failed additional data transfer payments do not cause deletion of a server that still has paid service time.
